We’re Jennie and Benji — nice to meet you! We’ve been cooking and baking together since 2017 and are excited to start sharing some of our handiwork with the wider world.
When we met in DC, Benji was a line cook and Jennie was fresh out of college, working on environmental campaigns. Since then, we’ve moved to San Francisco, Chicago, and now back to Jennie’s hometown of Berkeley, CA. We’ve learned a lot along the way, and Benji has worked in some great restaurants — from a Scandinavian cafe to Chinese fine-dining and a beloved gastropub.
We are launching our food business together (for now, calling it Benji’s/Jennie’s). We’re passionate about great food, freshly prepared using the best of California’s abundance. We hope you’ll give us a chance — we’ll announce pop-ups and shop updates here, or drop us a line for catering inquiries!
